At Small & Mighty Foundation, we believe that no family should have to choose between affording medical treatment and their child’s well-being. Our medical grants help individuals throughout the U.S. access the life-changing care they need to overcome severe anaphylactic food allergies.
If medical expenses not covered by insurance or the cost of travel for treatment is placing an undue burden on your family, we may be able to help.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for a grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:
U.S. Citizenship – Due to funding restrictions, all applicants must be U.S. citizens.
Medically Insured – The patient must have primary commercial health insurance (employer-sponsored or individually purchased). Secondary insurance is allowed.
Under the Care of a Medical Professional – The patient must be receiving treatment from a licensed medical doctor (M.D.), board-certified allergist, or another nationally recognized allergy specialist.
Seeking Treatment for Severe Anaphylactic Food Allergies – Grants apply to out-of-pocket medical expenses related to tolerance induction programs, oral immunotherapy, sublingual immunotherapy, and other specialized allergy treatments.
Required Documentation: Proof of treatment, medical verification, and insurance details must be submitted for application approval.

Initial Review & Screening
Our board reviews applications every 30 days. A board member will reach out for an initial screening once all documents are received.

Applicants will need to submit verification of medical treatment and insurance coverage. Our team will ensure all qualifications are met before proceeding.

Funding Decision
Once application is fully reviewed and approved, you’ll be notified of your status. If awarded, funds will be disbursed according to the needs outlined in your application.
